What is a SWIFT Service Bureau?

A SWIFT Service Bureau is a SWIFT-certified service provider that gives banks, corporates and fintechs access to the global SWIFT network as a managed service. Instead of building, operating, securing and regularly auditing their own SWIFT infrastructure, customers use the audited infrastructure and expertise of the service bureau – with lower costs, less complexity and higher security.

EFiS: a SWIFT Service Bureau since 1997

As early as 1997, EFiS was accredited as Europe's first private SWIFT Service Bureau and has been setting standards for security and availability in international payments ever since. Today, banks, corporates and fintechs rely on our SWIFT access – operated exclusively from data centers in Germany, KRITIS-compliant, ISO 27001- and ISAE 3402-certified.

More than 120 successful migrations demonstrate our experience in taking over existing SWIFT connections – predictable, low-risk and within the agreed time and budget. Our services are also available as a backup solution for your existing SWIFT connection.
